BAFTA winning documentary maker reveals new project looking at animal testing

BAFTA winning short documentary maker Alex Lockwood has revealed his latest project which will focus on animal testing.

Test Subjects will be released on 9th December and will be following three students who were pressured into animal testing as part of their studies.

According to Lockwood it will be free to view for 72 hours at Lockwoodfilm.com or testsubjectfilm.com

The description of the new film Test Subjects says:

“Frances, Emily and Amy were all aspiring scientists, looking forward to a future in which they could make a real difference to human health.
“Testing on animals, they had felt, was a necessary part of their research. These three scientists all slowly came to question the validity of animal testing and now look to share their stories. 'Test Subjects' is a short documentary exploring the issue of animal testing.”

The film premiered at the Raindance Film Festival on the 20th September.

Alex Lockwood received a BAFTA for his film 73 Cows which followed the story of Jay and Katja Wilde who gave 73 cows to a sanctuary and moved from animal farming to veganism.

VGN interviewed him about the film 73 Cows and his move towards veganism at VegFestUK in Brighton earlier this year, see the interview below:
