Canadian fur farming company looking to expand into beef industry
A fur farming company based in Canada say they are planning to expand into the beef industry.
The proposed Cavendish Beef Farm will be based near Trinity Bay.
It will be run by Viking Fur and is undergoing an environmental assessment.
Co-owner Peter Noer told CBC:
“Instead of just oil and gas, we have to try and develop something that we can do here that is sustainable and provide something for our food industry.
"I think it's a great thing we have going for us here, and it's something we do here in this province."
