Climate panel to discuss fashion, food and cosmetics at VegFestUK
A climate panel in London will look at the impact of our food system, the fashion industry and cosmetics.
Your Food, Your Clothes, Your Future at VegFestUK will see a representative from Dr. Bronners, Oxford University’s Joseph Poore and fashion designer Joshua Katcher discuss the impact of each of their respective fields.
Joseph Poore is a researcher at Oxford University who led research into the damage farming does to the planet, described by The Guardian as the most comprehensive analysis to date.
He will be joined by a representative from soap brand Dr. Bronners which prides itself on “treating the earth like home.”
Joshua Katcher is a vegan fashion designer who runs the brand Brave Gentleman, who invest in sustainable innovation, superior vegan materials, ethical labor & classic styles made with quality.
You can come and see the panel at the VGN Climate Summit on 27th October 2019 at Olympia London.
The event will also feature a panel on climate anxiety.
Climate anxiety is spreading and beginning to permeate therapists’ consulting rooms. Many of climate change’s earliest alarm-ringers, those such as activists and scientists, are at times having to face unmanageable feelings of despair, anger and grief.
The Climate Psychology Alliance is responding to a growing volume of calls for support. Join three panelists from the alliance who have some insight into how to manage these sometimes overwhelming emotions about our planet's future.
