Digital media, fashion and art to be discussed at vegan festival in London
How animal rights activists use digital media, the ability of art to dismantle oppression and why animals have been exploited in the fashion industry are just three of the topics that will be explored at a VGN hosted event in London.
The VGN room at VegFestUK will feature a number of talks at Olympia on 26th October.
VGN co-founder Christopher Sebastian will kick off proceedings with a talk on digital media literacy for animal rights advocates.
The author and lecturer will be discussing how to responsibly create, consume, and distribute content.
Following on from that, author and fashion designer Joshua Katcher will be examining how and why animals have been exploited in the fashion industry, as examined in his book Fashion Animals.
Artist and activist Paula Meninato will then be looking at how artists, activists, and community organizers can use art to effectively dismantle systems of oppression, especially speciesism.
It is part of the VegFestUK event taking place on 26th and 27th October.
Come and see Christopher Sebastian, Joshua and Paula!
