Extinction Rebellion protest outside NY Times offices, urge the paper to focus on climate change
Around seventy protestors have been arrested after a climate protest outside the offices of the New York Times.
Extinction Rebellion activists took to the streets urging the paper to focus more on the climate catastrophe.
A spokesperson for Extinction Rebellion told The Guardian:
“The lack of coverage of the climate crisis is completely unacceptable.
“It’s a public safety crisis on a global scale.”
In response a spokesperson for the Times told the Associated Press no national news organization devotes more resources to covering climate change.
