Fashion giant Prada says it is ditching fur
The fashion group Prada has confirmed they will no longer use fur in their designs.
They have teamed up with the Fur Free Alliance and from 2020 won’t sell any new products with fur.
Posting on Facebook they said:
“As part of the #PradaGroup, #Prada has announced, in collaboration with the Fur Free Alliance, that it will no longer use animal fur in its designs or new products, starting with #PradaSS20 Women’s collections.”
Joh Vinding, Chairman of the Fur Free Alliance added:
“The Fur Free Alliance applauds the Prada Group for going fur-free.
“The Prada Group with its brands now joins a growing list of fur-free brands that are responding to consumers’ changing attitudes towards animals.”
New York City is currently discussing banning the sale of new fur completely, following in the footsteps of Los Angeles and San Francisco.
