Missouri Governor goes on ‘beef tour’, says May is ‘beef month’
The Governor of Missouri has declared May “beef month” having been on a “beef promotion tour”.
Mike Parson has been meeting farmers in order to promote the animal agriculture indsutry.
“As a cattleman myself, it’s an honor to stand alongside my fellow farmers and ranchers to promote beef as the wholesome protein we all love.
“Missouri Beef producers have a long history of caring for their cattle and the environment by protecting land, air, and water resources on their farms and ranches.”
Beef production has a huge impact on climate change in particular with a carbon footprint up to nine times higher than the same weight of chicken and around 200 times higher than vegetarian protein such as beans.
