Oregon to get new vegan-friendly dinner pop-up
A new vegan-friendly pop-up is coming to Portland.
Brown Sugar Bistro is a new plant-based dinner series .
The dinners are expected to range from soul food to Afro-Caribbean cuisine.
It is run by Sakile Mitchell, who is branching out having previously had an expertise in cookies!
She told Eater.com:
"Most of the dinners we had when I was a kid were Hamburger Helper or spaghetti, so I taught myself how to bake the things I wanted to eat.
"I’ve missed making actual food for people, I wanted a way for people to enjoy the food I love and grew up on in a way that’s healthier."
Her first vegan dinner is on the 5th March with tickets priced at $40.
