Over 200 sheep die in collision while being transported from Scotland to Birmingham

Police have confirmed 220 sheep have died after the lorry they were being transported in was involved in a collision.

The incident happened last night on the A76 near Enterkinfoot in Scotland.

440 sheep were being transported from Scotland to Birmingham.

The driver was unharmed.

The sheep either died in the incident or were put down after the collision due to their injuries.

Police Scotland is appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, involving a Scania HGV to contact 101 quoting incident 4406 of 25Th February 2019.
