Poll suggests strong support for fur ban in Ireland
A poll by Irish news publication The Journal suggests most people would support a ban on fur farming.
The website published a poll following an article from John Carmody looking at fashion giant Prada’s decision to ban fur in future.
They asked “Should fur farming be banned in Ireland?”
At time of writing nearly 10,000 people have said they would support then ban compared to 1,500 who were against it.
New York City’s council is currently discussing if they should ban the sale of new furs, while other major cities have already done so.
