Poultry company fined after two workers suffer thumb and finger loss
A British poultry company has received a fine after two workers suffered serious injuries while working at one of their factories.
2 Sisters Food Group were fined £274,000.
One of the workers lost his thumb while another lost his finger at the site in Suffolk.
The company offered its "genuine apologies" to the two men and pleaded guilty to two breaches of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
The hearing took place at Colchester Magistrates' Court (pictured).
