Scottish faring editor 'hopes Veganuary will soon be forgotten'
Updated: Jan 13, 2019
A farming editor at a Scottish newspaper has criticised the Veganuary movement and said 'We can only hope that like most New Year’s resolutions, Veganuary will soon be forgotten.'
Gemma Mackenzie's piece is in the 'Press and Journal' - which covers Aberdeen and northern/highland Scotland.
She claims 'behind the scenes of Veganuary lies a misguided and well-orchestrated attack on the UK livestock sector', saying the campaign 'preys on people wishing to be healthier'.
The article rejects claims made on the Veganuary website and then - for some reason - says farmers produce fruit, vegetables, nuts and cereals.
