Thousands attend Black VegFest in Brooklyn

Thousands of people attended the second annual Black VegFest in Brooklyn over the weekend, according to the events organizer.

Speakers at the event included Dr. Milton Mills, author Tracye McQuirter, and Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams.

The festival also saw music and food stalls and people who brought tickets received a free link to Invisible Vegan by filmmaker Jasmine Leyva and a free link to Wakanda Forever EP by recording artist ADUM7.

Event founder Omowale Adewale took to Facebook after the event.

He said:

“To the thousands who visited Black VegFest during this weekend and to the hundreds who've embraced me with hugs and pounds, just know that you are welcome next year. I do this for you.
“Thank you for seeing and accepting the vision. It's Us. We here now.”
