Vegan-friendly Cornish pasty causes outrage!
The owner of a vegan bakery may have to change the name of one of its main products following online outrage.
The Cornish Vegan Pasty Company were criticised as their cornish pasty uses seitan instead of steak.
One user said: "Eat whatever you like, but don't call it what it isn't."
Another added: "They can keep it, it’s not traditional or Cornish, leave our food alone!"
The company owner Sam Grady, told Cornwall Live: "We’re in the process of changing the name of our ‘Cornish’ pasty to a ‘vegan steak’ pasty to remove any ambiguity.
"Our name is trademarked though and Trading Standards are happy with it."
