The 27-year-old was talking about a brain injury she suffered as a child on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, saying she had to introduce omega and fish because her “brain wasn’t functioning properly.”

Cyrus has The Vegan Society logo as a tattoo with animal rights charity PETA even questioning in 2016 whether she was the “Veganest Vegan to ever Vegan.”

Speaking to Rogan she said:

I was vegan for a very long time and I've had to introduce fish and omegas into my life because my brain wasn't functioning properly.
I have 22 animals on my farm in Nashville, I've got 22 in my house in Calabasas like I'm doing what I need to do for the animals, ok?
Now I’m so much sharper than I was and I think that I was at one point pretty malnutritioned, like I remember going to Glastonbury and that was a show that I loved, I love my performance, but I was running on empty.
I did all my supplements, I did all my protein drinks, I watched every body builder's YouTube about how they still train.
All I eat is celery. Why are my thighs so f**king huge?!

Rogan warned the Wrecking Ball singer that the vegans were going to come for her.

She responded by saying, “They're going to come for me but that's okay, I'm used to people coming for me in it.”

Cyrus was previously married to Liam Hemsworth who also ate a plant-based diet up until 2019, with some calling them a “vegan power couple.”
